“Surfing in the city?”

Yes, you read that right — there’s an amazing place just like that inside A Square Mall near Phrom Phong BTS Station in Bangkok. The operator has built an artificial surfing facility. If you already know how to surf, please book a time slot online in advance. Surfing for one hour costs 750 Thai baht (members enjoy additional discounts), during which you can show off your surfing skills and make us Taiwanese proud. If you don’t know how to surf but are interested in learning, instructors here will patiently teach you from basic techniques. It can be a bit thrilling but very safe — many Western parents bring their kids here to have a blast (children must be over 107 cm tall and accompanied by a parent to participate).

I know some people are a bit scared of surfing, but if you just want to feast your eyes, feel free to come and watch the good-looking guys and girls. You can grab an ice-cold beer or some light snacks at the restaurant here, sip and snack while watching surfing pros perform — it’s also a rare and fantastic experience!

Fun Travel Tips
1. If you’ve booked a surfing session, the operator recommends arriving and checking in 30 minutes before your reserved time.
2. Every Thursday is Ladies’ Day — female customers can surf for one hour for just 450 Thai baht, and there will also be a live band performance from 20:30 to 22:00 that evening (subject to change; please check the official website for details).
