Louisa Coffee clarifies milk switch: No use of Wei Chuan milk

After this news was shared and spread on social media, many consumers were shocked. Following further dissemination and commentary from various sources based on franchisee reports, Louisa Coffee issued a statement on February 21, officially clarifying that it uses Guang Quan fresh milk and will not collaborate with Wei Chuan. The statement was also posted on its official website to reassure consumer confidence.

Louisa Coffee has expanded rapidly, surpassing 250 stores in 2016 and aiming for 300. It also launched a new type of store, “The Third Wave Coffee Da’an Forest Park Branch,” which officially opened in January 2017. This “milk switch controversy” has drawn more attention to Louisa Coffee. With rapid expansion comes higher fresh milk consumption, posing future operational challenges, while consumer rights and perceptions also need greater attention.
