In February, a super photogenic old-house pizza shop opened in Taichung. The shop is hidden in an alleyway, and once you step through the door, you’re met with a stunning open space adorned with lights and wooden crates – it feels like stepping into a movie scene, as if you've wandered into a secret, time-traveling hideaway!

"Somewhere 某处" is located in a small alley near the train station and serves handmade wood-fired pizzas, Taiwanese stir-fries, and classic dishes from both Eastern and Western cuisines. Just a month after opening, Somewhere 某处 has already made quite a splash on Instagram. In addition to the bright and playful yellow-dominated interior, creatively paired with eye-catching graffiti, the outdoor area is also a big draw. The shop has cleverly decorated the outside space with a long string of lights that look especially magical at night, creating the feel of a classic old movie set. As a result, many visitors choose to sit outdoors, casually dining on pizza while sitting on the ground, enjoying their meal in the breeze – a truly relaxing experience.

Here, you can customize your pizza toppings – choose whatever you like. The pizza dough needs to ferment in advance, so once the daily batch sells out, that’s it, making them “limited edition.” Each pizza costs NT$200, and for an extra NT$50, you can enjoy all-you-can-drink beverages. There’s also a no-menu Taiwanese stir-fry option: NT$400 for two people, NT$800 for four, or you can order individual dishes for NT$120 each – prices similar to those of a typical stir-fry eatery.
