Tea-infused craft beer is here—launching exclusively worldwide today!

Taipei’s Regent Hotel has extended its reach into the beverage industry by teaming up with the popular local Taiwanese craft beer brand “Taihu,” led by their master brewer Winnie. Together, they have created a globally unique “Taiwanese Local Oolong Craft Beer,” which blends the aroma of high-mountain oolong tea with the bold flavor of beer. This innovation adds a fresh twist to Taiwan’s signature alcoholic offerings.

Taiwan is abundant in tea production, and its influence can be seen in everything from cuisine to desserts—creative combinations of food and tea are increasingly celebrated. The trend of “replacing alcohol with tea” or “infusing tea into dishes” is gaining popularity, and now we even see the rise of “tea-based beverages.” In this collaboration, Taipei’s Regent Hotel and Taihu have taken the concept of “tea in beer,” crafting a uniquely flavored “Taiwanese Local Oolong Craft Beer.” They extract the fragrant essence of high-mountain charcoal-roasted oolong tea and infuse it into the brew. As a result, the moment the bottle is opened, a distinct tea aroma greets you, and after the first sip, the lingering fragrance of high-mountain oolong gently envelops your senses. Its refreshing body makes the experience feel akin to sipping tea—smooth, satisfying, and pleasantly lingering.

The “Taiwanese Local Oolong Craft Beer” is now available at restaurants and in guest rooms under the Regent International Hotels & Resorts Group. A single 500ml bottle is priced at NT$260. Currently, it is exclusively sold in cans at restaurants and guest rooms within the Regent Group. Additionally, the Gallery Lounge on the second floor of Regent Hotel offers a refreshing draught version of the tea-infused beer for on-site enjoyment—priced at NT$320 for a 500ml glass or NT$220 for a 300ml glass.
