Pre-order popular for the commemorative ticket set of the Taoyuan Airport MRT Line inauguration

On March 2, 2017, the Taoyuan Airport MRT officially began operations, launching a commemorative ticket set gift box for travelers and consumers to collect. Limited to 5,000 sets, including 2,000 available for online pre-order on March 2 and 3,000 for on-site sales on March 11. Travelers, consumers, and rail enthusiasts can share and commemorate the joy of the official opening of the Taoyuan MRT by collecting this commemorative ticket set, preserving this once-in-a-lifetime historic milestone.

The ticket set gift box was commissioned from the EasyCard Corporation, with each set containing 2 EasyCards. The cards feature a paired design, symbolizing that the opening of the Airport MRT is not only a victory for Taoyuan but also for the entire country. It marks a rare and historic milestone. The card design also showcases modern rail convenience and includes the phrase “home,” reflecting a sense of belonging. The card set is priced at NT$600 per set, with a limit of 2 sets per person, while supplies last.

The commemorative tickets launched this time were designed by artist Xu Qianshun, who also created the mascots of Taoyuan City, ㄚ桃 and 园哥. The design concept of the tickets is that the Airport MRT is a beautiful path connecting home and the world, carrying many dreams. Therefore, the commemorative tickets feature cheerful and joyous floral designs that capture the emotion of the Airport MRT’s official inauguration. The back of the premium box is inscribed with “Green mountains. Clear waters. Blooming flowers. Travelers. Joy. Good times,” hoping that passengers can enjoy the scenery outside the window while riding the MRT and feel the convenience and beauty it brings to life.

On-site Purchase:
On March 11 and 12 at Taoyuan MRT stations — A1 Taipei Main Station, A3 New Taipei Industrial Park Station, A8 Chang Gung Memorial Hospital Station, and A18 Taoyuan High-Speed Rail Station. Sales are from 09:00 to 16:00, priced at NT$600 per set, with a limit of 2 sets per person, while supplies last.
