The Taoyuan Airport MRT, after one month of trial operation, officially opened on March 2. To encourage more people to use the airport MRT, passengers can enjoy a 50% discount on fares during the first month after opening, until April 1. After the official launch, the operating hours are from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm daily. The A1 to A13 stations of the Taoyuan Airport MRT offer both express and regular services, with an average interval of 7.5 minutes; the A14a to A21 stations operate regular trains, with an average frequency of once every 15 minutes. During the trial operation period, it was observed that the MRT has replaced some travel by national highway buses and taxis. ★ Seniors aged 65 and above, individuals holding disability handbooks/certificates and one accompanying person, holding discounted single-journey tickets, EasyCard senior cards, love cards, love companion cards, iPass senior cards, or care cards/companion care cards can enjoy an additional 50% discount on the 50% off fare.
★ Children’s discount: an additional 20% off the 50% off fare — children aged 6 (inclusive) to under 12 can purchase discounted children’s single-journey tickets at station inquiry counters with valid proof, enjoying a 50% off followed by an additional 20% discount. Additionally, children under 6 may ride free of charge.
★ 30-day, 60-day, and 90-day period passes: will go on sale at all stations starting late March, with original pricing resuming on 4/2 and available for use.
★ Group tickets: starting 4/2, all stations begin selling group tickets; groups of 10 or more entering and exiting together receive a 20% discount.
