As one of Japan’s three most famous gardens, Kenrokuen, with its rich traditional Japanese ambiance and garden scenery, offers an authentic cultural experience. Located in Wujie Township, Yilan County, the Lüwu Sightseeing Hotel is built around a similar strolling-style Japanese garden, featuring serene streams, traditional Japanese architecture, and arched bridge landscapes that create the illusion of stepping into a historic Kyoto site—offering an authentic Japanese experience without leaving Taiwan.

The Lüwu Sightseeing Hotel is Taiwan’s first and only five-star international tourist hotel that combines a Japanese garden, hotel, and villa. It specially hired Japanese craftsmen to come to Taiwan and construct the property using traditional Japanese architectural techniques, taking over a year to complete. In addition to the Japanese garden landscape, there are also theme spaces such as an art gallery, themed theater, light meal restaurant, cherry blossom tea house, and visitor center. A must-visit spot is the Moses Bridge underwater walkway.

The garden area not only offers unique displays and situational performances themed around Japanese culture but also features seasonal garden appreciation and dining experiences, combining art, cultural creativity, tourism, and education. The lodging area includes 95 hotel rooms and 10 villa rooms. The hotel houses Chinese, Western, and Japanese restaurants, a large banquet hall, a 2F open-air coffee shop, a 6F rooftop lounge, men’s and women’s hot spring baths, an herbal SPA, fitness and yoga rooms, as well as an outdoor tea house, swimming pool, and play area.
