This blockbuster film, with a budget of 40 billion KRW, was released in Korea on December 20, 2017, two days later in Taiwan, and on January 11, 2018, in Hong Kong. It will also be released in India and Malaysia. The film extensively uses special effects throughout its scenes, with the underworld and hell settings being particularly chilling. Many viewers left the theater more contemplative about the existence and nature of the “afterlife.” The film carries a strong moral message, warning and exhorting viewers to live righteously.
