Hiroshi Suzuki, director of Hero Film Version 2, presents his latest work, The Inn at Honnō-ji, which features meticulously recreated Kyoto streetscapes from the Warring States period and a newly built Honnō-ji Temple. Every detail strictly follows historical records, impressing the actors greatly. Leading actors Haruka Ayase and Shinichi Tsutsumi previously starred as a couple in Our Little Sister, and reunite in The Inn at Honnō-ji as the leading romantic pair. Thanks to the time-travel plot, “modern-day” Haruka Ayase paired with “costume-clad” Shinichi Tsutsumi creates an instantly comedic and well-matched on-screen duo.

Faced with this mysterious woman from the future dressed in “strange” clothing, Oda Nobunaga and the others are both curious and full of questions. As Mayuko tours the ancient capital, she suddenly recalls that 1582 was the year of the famous Incident at Honnō-ji, in which Oda Nobunaga met his demise. How will Mayuko tell Nobunaga the truth, and how will she manage to return to the future in time for her own wedding?
