Largest desert park surprises with sea of flowers as spring blossoms burst forth

Amidst a barren desert park, an astonishing sea of flowers has emerged. Located in California, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is the largest state park in California and the second-largest in the contiguous United States, only behind Adirondack Park in New York. The park spans an extremely vast area of 600,000 acres—almost one-fifth the size of San Diego. Although it is a desert region with generally harsh climatic conditions, at the transition between winter and spring, many wildflowers still bloom in certain areas, creating a uniquely spectacular sight.
