Located in Zhushan Township, Chiayi County, the Fairy’s Toes Scenic Camping Park not only offers breathtaking million-dollar night views, but also features long-standing cultural landmarks steeped in legend. The Fairy’s Toes is a massive boulder, visually estimated to weigh at least 300 metric tons. Its surface bears over 60 hoof-like indentations. Legend has it that these were left by immortals—both male and female—who paused here during their journey across the skies. Another tale suggests that various immortals once gathered to duel and practice their magical arts on this very rock. Their overwhelming spiritual power carved these distinct marks into the hard stone. Regardless of the stories’ credibility, this site has become a local place of worship. It is widely believed that the boulder is sacred, and regular offerings are made here as part of an established tradition.
