As Japan’s cherry blossom season is about to begin, the Japan Meteorological Corporation updated its 2017 blooming forecast on March 9. The earliest blooming date in Tokyo is predicted to be March 22, with full bloom around March 29. Many tourists have already planned their trips for a cherry blossom journey. From March 18 to April 16, the Tokyo Toden Sakura Train will run on the Toden Arakawa Line. In addition to enjoying the beautiful cherry blossoms along the route, the train carriages are also decorated with cherry blossom stickers and artificial flowers, creating a delightful atmosphere for passengers.

The Toden Sakura Train features a blue retro tram “No. 9002”, passing by cherry blossom spots such as Arakawa Nature Park and Asukayama Park in Kita Ward.
