The hidden gem of Eagle Rock Peak went viral online, offering breathtaking views of the sea meeting the sky and picturesque green mountains, attracting many tourists eager to visit. However, due to geological hazards at Eagle Rock Peak, it was closed at the end of 2016, leaving many netizens feeling deep regret, and they began searching for a new Eagle Rock Peak. Located on Taipei’s Jiantan Mountain, there are four hiking entrances. After ascending the nature trail from the Yuanshan Scenic Area in Jiantan and following the signs, you’ll find an old spot — the Plane Watching Platform. From here, you can take in the entire cityscape of Taipei, with its expansive views bringing the urban center into sight. You can also watch airplanes take off and land, and the scenery at night is even more enchanting. The most captivating part of the city is its shimmering night view. Here, you can deeply feel the vibrant energy of the bustling metropolis, a different kind of moving beauty.
