To allow Taiwanese fans of Japan to experience the rich charm of different regions in Japan more deeply, the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association, a public interest incorporated foundation, held the “Colorful Japan” event at Hall 4B of Huashan 1914 Creative Park from Saturday, March 25 to Sunday, March 26. On the opening day, the film “KANO”’s stern coach Junichi Okada made a special appearance！

In addition to special guest Junichi Okada, the event also featured experience zones such as Japanese sake exhibitions, sake tasting, gourmet food, and health industry showcases. With lively presentations, it introduced Taiwanese audiences to Japanese culture, famous sights, and key travel highlights！Visitors could discover new dimensions of Japan from various perspectives.

Junichi Okada shares local insights from Kyushu；Experience zones promise excitement
The opening ceremony of the “Colorful Japan – Let You Experience the Beauty of Regional Japan” event invited Japanese actor Junichi Okada, who played a significant role in the movie “KANO,” as a special guest to share his experiences in Taiwan-Japan exchanges. In addition, the event brought the authentic Yamaga Lantern Dance from Kumamoto Prefecture to Taiwan, allowing participants to dress up, take photos, and share them on their Facebook or Instagram. The “CHIKAKEN Workshop” from Kumamoto will also join visitors in making “bamboo lanterns.” The venue offers a variety of fun and enriching experiences waiting for you to join.

A showdown of famous sakes from across Japan；Stage performances full of energy and eye-catching
Whether it’s popular sake brewed in the harsh climate of Tohoku or local brews that match the bold character of Kyushu men, the carefully selected sake exhibition and tasting zone is a major highlight of the “Colorful Japan – Let You Experience the Beauty of Regional Japan” event. Another highlight is the energetic stage performances. For example, a Live Show by Nishigata Saian, a natural dye artist from Ibaraki Prefecture, or traditional performing arts experiences—all enrich the event’s theme: “Colorful Japan – Let You Experience the Beauty of Regional Japan.”
