Tigerair launches new South Korea route, direct flights to a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site

Low-cost carrier Tigerair Taiwan launched its third route to South Korea on the 28th — Taipei Taoyuan to Jeju Island — offering travelers a new option after existing routes to Daegu and Busan. In recent years, responding to the growing travel demand between Taiwan and South Korea, the airline has opened a new route. Jeju Island, located in the south of South Korea, boasts rich volcanic island geological landscapes and was designated as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site in 2007. It is not only a favorite holiday destination for international tourists but also a popular filming location for movies, dramas, and TV programs, attracting large numbers of visitors every year.

During the initial launch period from March 28 to June 3, flights operate every Tuesday and Saturday. The outbound flight number is IT654, departing from Taipei Taoyuan International Airport at 6:25 AM; the return flight number is IT655, departing from Jeju International Airport at 10:30 AM.

From June 4 to October 28, additional flight times on Wednesdays and Fridays will be added, giving passengers more choices. The new flights depart from Taipei Taoyuan International Airport at 6:55 AM and return from Jeju International Airport at 11:00 AM, allowing travelers to freely plan and customize multi-day in-depth trips to Jeju Island.
