Tigerair Taiwan launches its first flight to Jeju Island on the 28th, becoming the third route from Taiwan to South Korea

Tigerair Taiwan today (28th) launched its third Korean route: Taoyuan–Jeju Island, making it the third destination in South Korea after Daegu and Busan.

During the initial period of Tigerair Taiwan’s Taoyuan–Jeju Island route, from March 28, 2017, to June 3, 2017, flights operate every Tuesday and Saturday. The outbound flight is IT654, departing Taoyuan International Airport at 06:25 AM; the return flight is IT655, departing Jeju International Airport at 10:30 AM.

From June 4, 2017, to October 28, 2017, in addition to Tuesdays and Saturdays, flights are also available on Wednesdays and Fridays. The new Wednesday and Friday flights depart Taoyuan International Airport at 06:55 AM and Jeju International Airport at 11:00 AM, allowing travelers to freely plan in-depth trips of varying lengths to Jeju Island.

To celebrate the inaugural flight, Tigerair Taiwan held a routine inaugural flight photo ceremony in the Taoyuan Airport lounge today. Passengers on the inaugural Taoyuan–Jeju Island flight received specially designed limited-edition inaugural postcards from Tigerair Taiwan. Additionally, passengers on IT654 received a set of inaugural celebration gifts sponsored by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and the Jeju Tourism Organization, including a Jeju tourism brochure, cute luggage tags, and a Jeju map.

Jeju Island boasts stunning scenery and a warm climate, making it the top domestic holiday destination for Koreans. Currently in the season of cherry blossom blooms, with rapeseed flowers also heralding the arrival of spring, the island is beautiful all year round. It is also rich in historical culture and heritage, and is home to three UNESCO-designated protected sites.
