When it comes to Tokyo Station, the"Tokyo Character Street" (東京キャラクターストリート) always leaves Taiwanese travelers unwilling to leave once they step inside. 1. Pokémon Specialty Shop | Recommended Items: Pikachu Station Master Doll, Handkerchief, Keychain
Pokémon, which accompanied many Taiwanese people through their childhood, is sure to evoke a flood of nostalgic memories in this specialty shop. From Pikachu leading the way, you’ll find everything from backpacks, tops, and umbrellas to dolls and keychains.

3. Rilakkuma Store – Recommended Item: Rilakkuma Candy Box
The most recommended Tokyo Station-exclusive merchandise at the Rilakkuma Store is the "Rilakkuma Candy Box," wrapped in a furoshiki (traditional Japanese wrapping cloth) featuring the Tokyo Station design and Rilakkuma characters. Each box is about the size of a palm, adorned with illustrations of Rilakkuma and friends visiting Tokyo Station with a camera. It’s reusable too, making it highly recommended as both a gift or keepsake.

Currently, Tokyo Station's Ichibangai offers tax-free services. Simply register in advance at the tax-free counter, obtain the designated form, and accumulate purchases totaling 5,000 yen (before tax) at designated stores in the anime character street to be eligible for tax exemption. Staff also remind shoppers that refundable goods are divided into two categories: consumables (such as snacks, cosmetics, etc.) and non-consumables (such as clothing, blankets, dolls, etc.). Each category must individually reach 5,000 yen (before tax) to qualify for a tax refund. Therefore, after shopping, you need to bring the items back to the tax refund counter for inspection by staff.
