Hidden free night cherry blossom spot: 2-km long avenue in full bloom

You can also enjoy the beauty of night cherry blossoms in downtown Luodong. The Luozhuang Cherry Blossom Trail, located beside the Shiliufen Canal in Luodong Township, glows with pink light at night. Reflected in the stream, the view is absolutely stunning. The 2-km-long Luozhuang Cherry Blossom Trail is lined with nearly a thousand cherry trees, which have flourished thanks to the dedicated care of volunteers. The front and back sections of the trail are planted with yaezakura (double-flowered cherry), somei-yoshino (also known as yezakura or Tokyo cherry), and mizu-yukari (ink-dyed cherry) and perfume cherry varieties. Currently, the mizu-yukari and perfume cherry trees are in full bloom, and the blooming period will last until April 20. The lights are turned on at 6:20 PM each evening. Visitors eager to witness the beauty of the night cherry blossom avenue should plan their trip soon. They can also visit the nearby “2017 Yilan Green Expo” for fun experiences.
