Taiwan's Kaneki-en: A Romantic Cultural Garden Like an Ink Wash Painting

The beauty of classical architecture and the exquisitely crafted Japanese-style garden scenery not only preserve the traditional building techniques and essence of humanities and arts from the Hoklo and Hakka cultures but also blend harmoniously with the beauty of nature to form a unique cultural landscape. Chengmei Cultural Garden in Changhua is a classic representative of this. Originally the ancestral home of the Wei brothers of the Ting Hsin International Group, after more than 20 years of transition, it was meticulously restored by a team of Taiwan’s nationally renowned master craftsmen. It officially opened at the end of 2012 as the "Century-Old Folk Life Museum," allowing this century-old mansion to once again shine with renewed splendor.
