Each year from around August to September, the flower-viewing event known as the Daylily Season, or “one-day flower” season, bathes the foothills and hills in radiant gold. The dense sea of blossoms is mesmerizing. Beyond the alpine daylilies of summer, the flatland daylilies have already begun to bloom quietly in spring. Along Section 105.5 to 106.5 of Provincial Highway 193—renowned as the most beautiful highway in Hualien—visitors can now admire vast fields of golden daylilies. These flower-covered plains resemble a golden carpet sprawling across the farmland, offering not only breathtaking floral views but also sweeping mountain vistas. The scenery is magnificent and majestic, brimming with pastoral beauty.
