The 2017 Taoyuan Agricultural Expo was held from April 22 to May 14 next to the Xinyi Weather Station at the Expo base, running for a total of 23 days. The base covers an area of about 30 hectares and features four major themes: the Plant Landscape Zone, the Multicultural Zone, the Local Life Zone, and the Technology & Sustainability Zone. Combining the local characteristics of Taoyuan, it showcases new agriculture such as organic farming and youth-led agriculture, and connects with local industries including green energy and plant factories. It integrates pond culture heritage, community development, and agricultural regeneration mechanisms, offering a unique take on agricultural expos compared to other counties and cities.
