Osaka's New Landmark Twin Towers: FESTIVAL CITY Opens

Nakanoshima in northern Osaka is a major economic, cultural, and commercial hub of the city. The Nakanoshima Festival Tower, a 200-meter skyscraper completed in November 2011, brings together shops, restaurants, and office facilities. With its high-level seismic resistance and other premium features, it has become an important city landmark. Then, on April 17, 2017, the newly constructed Nakanoshima Festival Tower West officially opened as part of the twin-tower complex now collectively named FESTIVAL CITY. The B1 to 2nd floor dining and retail spaces of the West tower have already begun operations. The Conrad Osaka, the top-tier brand under the renowned American hotel chain Hilton, is set to open in June. Meanwhile, the Nakanoshima Kisen Art Museum is scheduled to open next spring. Nakanoshima blends tradition, history, economy, and culture. With this continuously evolving new landmark, the area has once again captured international attention.
