The largest travel fair in southern Taiwan, the "2017 Kaohsiung Travel Agents Association International Travel Fair," was held from May 19 to 22 at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center. In collaboration with the local Taiwanese travel experience platform KKday, the fair offered a 30% discount on selected products and discounts of 10% or more on tour packages to Sabah, Cebu, Bangkok, and more. During the travel fair, AirAsia also set up a “Lucky Gashapon Machine,” where visitors could win free prizes by completing certain tasks. Additionally, popular routes favored by residents of Kaohsiung such as Penang, Langkawi, and Bangkok are also offering special deals starting from NT$2,548 (excluding tax) for a one-way trip. Trips from Taipei via Kuala Lumpur to popular Australian destinations such as Perth, the Gold Coast, Sydney, and Melbourne start from just NT$3,551 (excluding tax), with travel dates between June 12 and October 30, 2017.
