The most anticipated attraction of 2018 — the Tanshui Metasequoia Forest in Taichung!

From brilliant golden hues to dazzling orange-reds, the romantic scenery is like a slice of heaven on earth. This isn’t Europe or Japan, butTaiwan’s newest hot spot for photography — the Tanshui Metasequoia Forest. Although this place has already attracted large numbers of visitors, the privately owned estate is not yet officially open, so unless you know the owner, you can only capture the breathtaking red foliage from a distance.

The colors of the metasequoias change with the seasons. From November to February in winter, you may have the chance to see the vibrant red leaves, while the lush greenery throughout the rest of the year is equally enchanting. Aerial shots of the forest make the trees look like little strawberries — absolutely adorable. However, reaching this estate is no easy feat, as both the hiking paths and driveways are very narrow. Truly breathtaking views do come at a cost.

Walking along the path of red leaves feels like strolling through a park in Europe or America. It’s said that the Tanshui Metasequoia Forest will be open to the public in the near future. We hope everyone can come and capture this dreamy scenery next winter!
