Marvel heroes gather at Hong Kong Disneyland as Stanley Wong and his son team up with Spider-Man

This year marks the beginning of the Marvel era at Hong Kong Disneyland. Following the huge success of the “Iron Man Experience” launched earlier this year, the park continues to roll out more Marvel-themed attractions and activities, establishing Hong Kong Disneyland as a must-visit destination for Marvel fans. The new “Marvel Summer Super Heroes” event, running from June 14 to September 3, allows guests staying at resort hotels to take part in various entertainment experiences, take on the “Marvel Dimension of Heroes” mission, meet two newly added superheroes—“Spider-Man” and “Captain America,” and enjoy the “Iron Man Experience,” fulfilling superhero dreams for the whole family.

Additionally, from July 1 to September 3, the park will specially create a “Training Certificate” for each Taiwanese guest, recognizing them as agents who have completed a series of trainings as part of the “Marvel Summer Super Heroes.” Today (12th), Spider-Man also flew in from Hong Kong to Taipei in advance to conduct warm-up training with Stanley Wong and his son YAYA, sharing the coolest superhero summer vacation travel plan.

Taiwan has long been an important international market for Hong Kong Disneyland, with visitor numbers from Taiwan consistently ranking high among international markets. Families often visit Hong Kong primarily for Hong Kong Disneyland, or include it as a must-do activity during their trip. In addition to offering the most classic and popular Disney-themed attractions, Hong Kong Disneyland continuously introduces trendy new rides and experiences. Capitalizing on the global popularity of Marvel superheroes, this year has been designated the Marvel Super Heroes year, featuring a series of themed events including this summer’s “Marvel Summer Super Heroes” and the Marvel-themed race event “Marvel 10K Weekend 2017” in September.

Following the “Marvel Summer Super Heroes” event, Hong Kong Disneyland will launch the “Marvel 10K Weekend 2017” race event in September to unleash guests’ athletic potential. The park’s race features four categories: the Captain America 10K Run to test endurance, the Thor 5K Run to unleash lightning-fast power, the Spider-Man 3K Run for fun family moments, and a Kids’ Run for young participants to showcase their energy. The park has set aside special spots for Taiwanese guests in the 3K, 5K, and 10K runs. Guests can also book packages that include stays at “Disney Explorers Lodge,” with registration open until June 30.

Hong Kong Disneyland has collaborated exclusively with Marvel to launch a limited-edition Marvel comic book, “Iron Man Experience: Hong Kong Heroes #1,” available only at the park. The story is set in Hong Kong and introduces a new superhero. It follows Iron Man and other heroes as they team up to fight evil forces trying to steal a mysterious artifact housed at the Stark Expo Hong Kong.
