The Guinness World Record's slimmest tower resembles a sci-fi scene from another world

In 2016, a new attraction opened in Brighton, UK – the British Airways i360 observation tower. This building's most distinctive feature is being the world’s slimmest tower according to the Guinness World Records. It stands 162 meters tall, with its widest point only 3.9 meters across, achieving an astonishing height-to-width ratio of 41:1. This is the British Airways i360 observation tower, another unique architectural creation by Marks Barfield Architects, following their work on the London Eye in 1999.
The 18-meter-diameter observation pod ascends 138 meters above the ground in 20 to 30 minutes, carrying up to 200 passengers and offering 360-degree panoramic views of the southern coast of England, making it the world’s tallest moving observation tower.
