The lotus season at Riverside Park in New Taipei City has begun. The lotuses at the Xin Hai III Artificial Wetland near Xinyue Bridge in Banqiao District and the Sanchong Lotus Park are eagerly displaying their blooming beauty, with graceful and picturesque blossoms also showcasing delicate, swaying charm, attracting many photography enthusiasts to come and capture the scenery. Currently, it’s the best time to appreciate the lotuses.

The lotus flowering season in northern Taiwan lasts from around June to August. The lotuses at the Xin Hai III Artificial Wetland and Sanchong Lotus Park will remain in full bloom until the end of July. New Taipei has incorporated not only beautiful scenery but also natural ecology, including planting wetland plants such as water lilies, cattails, and water bamboo — known as "rising unsullied from the mud" — to achieve the effect of water purification.
