"The Art of the Brick," selected by CNN as one of the world's must-see exhibitions, is returning to Taiwan. In 2012, The Art of the Brick attracted nearly one million visitors in Taiwan. This time, New York artist Nathan Sawaya has brought twice as many exhibits as five years ago, including series such as "World-Famous Paintings" and "Art Sculptures." Iconic pieces like “Yellow” and “My Boy” will once again appear before audiences, along with a special surprise created exclusively for Taiwanese viewers, aiming to recreate the same awe of the past.

Internationally renowned works "Yellow" and "My Boy"
Nathan Sawaya’s footprint has spanned the globe through his exhibitions, where he observes society and reflects on himself. Just like his famous figurative works "Yellow" and "My Boy," which are whimsical and intriguing yet carry subtle life philosophies, these pieces break the notion that LEGO® bricks are merely toys. Through LEGO®, Sawaya leads audiences to explore the joy of art.
The series debuts in Taiwan for the first time!
Recreating iconic artworks from various periods—ancient stone caves, the Renaissance, Impressionism, and Pop Art—using LEGO® bricks, the exhibition takes audiences on a journey through time, playfully reinterpreting masterpieces such as the "Mona Lisa," "Starry Night," and "The Scream," showcasing the dual charm of LEGO® and art.
Building timeless classics with bricks!
Many famous statues in history were carved from stone or clay—David, Venus, The Thinker, and the Terracotta Army. Now, Nathan Sawaya gives these statues new life with LEGO® bricks, infusing them with color and childlike wonder. These once cold sculptures now exude a different kind of warmth, yet remain just as iconic!
