Every summer during the peak travel season abroad, the number of travelers heading to Japan is notably high. With the Japanese Yen once again pressing down on the 0.27 mark, many Japan enthusiasts and soon-to-be travelers are eager to exchange their currency during this dip.

Taking July 10th as an example, Yongfeng Bank offered a bank selling rate of 0.27, meaning that 2,700 Taiwan dollars could buy 10,000 Japanese Yen. The Yen has been depreciating over the past month, with potential to go even lower than 0.27, though the room for further decline may be limited. On July 11th, Yongfeng Bank’s cash selling rate was seen at 0.2694. It's a good time to exchange currency in the near term, and those who need it may want to exchange in advance.

Due to the depreciation of the Yen, the cost of many tour packages to Japan is also cheaper this year by around 3,000 to 5,000 Taiwan dollars compared to previous years. With numerous summer travel options available and fierce competition, prospective travelers should compare offerings carefully.
