It really feels like you’ve stepped into a fake Japan.
Under the blue sky and white clouds...
It’s as if you’ve entered a world of endless sights
The entire exhibition area mainly focuses on the history of sisal development
There aren’t many visitors... try walking in and you’ll discover another perspective

The park has a parking lot. After parking, you can enter through the visitor entrance.
As soon as you enter, there is a pavilion
As you walk along, you can see the sisal plants in the park
It allows visitors to gain a deeper understanding of sisal.
Learn about sisal:
The tip of a sisal leaf has a hard thorn. Military units often plant it near their camps, covering large areas that can later serve as barriers against airborne troops.
Of course, there are also these adorable little animals
The park displays Japanese-ruled-era sisal factory buildings and exhibits actual sisal samples
In 1902, a Japanese technician named Yasushi Tashiro transplanted sisal seedlings to the Hengchun Tropical Plant Special Breeding Farm,
Due to successful trial results, it also brought significant economic benefits to the Hengchun Peninsula (excerpted from the internet)

In the 76th year of the Republic of China (1987), the sisal industry officially became history. To allow future generations to revisit this glorious period of sisal, the Kenting Management Office converted the Hengchun Sisal Plant into the Sisal Industry History Exhibition Area.
It really feels like you’ve stepped into a fake Japan.
The park is huge... besides the exhibition hall at the front, there’s also a torii gate and a sika deer environmental education area at the very back

We’re not kidding – this is really in Hengchun
The torii gate at the end is a great spot for photos
Whether you shoot from below looking up or from above looking down, it’s all photogenic and picturesque
The exhibition area includes ruins such as Japanese-ruled-era sisal factory buildings, ponds, and hemp-pulling platforms... which you can visit along the designated route
It’s a quiet spot. Aside from staff maintaining the grounds, we were the only visitors that day
But it’s actually a fantastic place for photos... when green grass meets the blue sky, paired with old buildings
It brings so much life to an off-the-beaten-path attraction~
The Agave Industry Historical Exhibition Area is less than a ten-minute drive from the Longluan Lake Nature Center.
