Netizens widely recognize Taitung’s Fengyuan Elementary School as the most Mediterranean-style school in Taiwan, making it a must-visit attraction for many travelers exploring eastern Taiwan. Now, such a Mediterranean-style public building has also appeared in Tainan. The stunning structure is situated amid rural grasslands, allowing you to experience a rich island vibe without leaving the country—and it’s bound to spark a wave of photo-taking enthusiasm.

For years, residents of Kunqi and Kunming, two neighborhoods around the Chingshan Fishing Port in the Jiajiang District, had no activity center to use. The district office found a public plot of land next to the Qingkunqi Pumping Station. With the assistance of local representatives and a total subsidy of 11 million NTD, the center was completed in nearly a year and a half. To echo the coastal scenery of the area, the building adopts a Mediterranean-inspired blue-and-white color scheme, instantly adding a romantic touch to the otherwise simple and plain rural community.

Now it’s one of the latest hot spots for photos and check-ins. When planning your Tainan trip, consider adding it to your list and immerse yourself in the romantic Mediterranean atmosphere~~ Also, please keep noise levels down during visits to avoid disturbing residents, and take your trash with you to help maintain the cleanliness of the community environment.
