12 hectares of vibrant floral splendor – 2017 Guandu Flower Sea Festival

Does Guandu have a flower sea too? It’s surprising to hear that there’s a vast expanse of blooming flowers in Guandu in northern Taiwan. What kind of flowers will create such a beautiful sea of blooms here? The Guandu Flower Sea Festival is a half-year-long floral extravaganza that runs from August 25, 2017 to February 28, 2018. Five spectacular floral displays will take turns blooming across the fields. Flower sea enthusiasts no longer need to travel to central or southern Taiwan — you can capture stunning floral photos right here in the north!

In addition, in conjunction with the Universiade, the Guandu Flower Sea has set up 22 Bear Joy photo spots themed around various sports within the park. Aside from being cute and lively to encourage visitors to take photos, each Bear Joy features a QR code. Simply scan the code to instantly access the competition schedule and detailed information for that sport. Across the 12-hectare flower sea, you’ll find playful Bear Joys everywhere, ensuring a fun experience for all and a great spot for families to take pictures with the adorable bears.

Additionally, the Guandu Flower Sea Festival has introduced the “Flower Sea Exclusive Bear Joy Photo Frame Activity.” During the event period, pick up an adorable, flower sea-exclusive Bear Joy photo frame from the photo station staff, take a photo with it, upload it to Facebook, and you can receive one of the limited 200 sets of exquisite mini potted plant sets.
