Travel Back 30 Years to Childhood at Taichung's Treasure Trove of Memories

Childhood toys like trading cards, A-Mei’s debut CDs, and posters from *Titanic*—these vintage items from our early years have made a comeback on the streets of Taichung. The "1983 FINE ∞ Treasure Trove" houses collectibles from the 1970s to the 1990s in this time capsule waiting to be explored.

The owner of 1983 FINE has a classic soul. Initially passionate about collecting items, they later scoured old general stores and flea markets for vintage goods. Years later, they established the "Taichung 1983 FINE ∞ Treasure Trove." To date, the collection spans over 50 categories with more than 300 items. Currently, there’s no physical store—only pop-up stalls at places like Taichung Guangfu New Village and the Taichung Broadcasting Bureau, along with items listed on their fan page, hoping to reconnect with kindred spirits and keep the joy of childhood alive.

Since 1983, childhood toys, stationery, and daily necessities familiar to those born in the 1970s haven’t been discarded but instead collected by the owner of 1983 FINE. Items like the Famicom, check printers, magnetic-clasp pencil cases, M&M’s piggy banks, Power Rangers figurines, and even the "beep-boop" Dodo plush from the Pan Yingzi-starring TV series *Fire Phoenix* can evoke many people’s childhood memories.

These vintage items capture the beauty of life in the past, awakening shared memories among those born in the 1970s. The owner hopes that the passage of time won’t wash away the objects that accompanied us through childhood. They also plan to open a future treasure store that combines lifestyle interests, selling childhood drinks, snacks, and retro items.
