Only nine days: popular ice cream brand Juanwei at a pop-up in Taipei

Sweet tooth alert: Taipei W Hotel has partnered with the wildly popular Tainan-based ice cream shop “Juanwei” to launch a pop-up called “W Juanwei Game: Song of Ice & Wine” at the WOOBAR on the 10th floor. In addition to selling the “Popcorn Lychee Black Tea” flavor—which has won awards at international ice cream competitions—the pop-up also offers an exclusive W limited-edition “Peach Apple Osmanthus Vodka” ice cream.

For cocktails, there are two options: “Taipei Donkey,” made with Taiwan Golden Mountain osmanthus-infused Kinmen Kaoliang liquor, and the hipster-style “Mi?” cocktail. The latter uses sake as a base to highlight rice aroma, then adds homemade Earl Grey tea syrup, lychee puree, fresh roselle tea, and egg white, topped off with Taiwanese popcorn for a drink that’s perfect for a tipsy girls’ night out.

Also on offer are W’s specially made desserts “Knight of High Osmanthus” ginger-black sugar cheesecake and “Red Robe Priestess” tangerine black tea baked custard, which can be paired with any two types of ice cream.

The “W Juanwei Game: Song of Ice & Wine” pop-up will be open daily from 12pm to 8pm during the event period. Buy any two items among ice cream, cocktails, and desserts for a NT$100 discount, or all three for NT$888. Show your receipt from purchases at Taipei W Hotel during the current month to get NT$50 off.
