Hong Kong’s first urban resort hotel is set to open along the Victoria Harbour waterfront at Hung Luen Road in Hung Hom. It will be the first hotel completed in Hong Kong since 1995. This new 16-storey building features up to 546 guest rooms, located in a prime city centre location, making it the fourth property established by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in Hong Kong and its first urban resort hotel.

The architectural design was conceived and executed by architect and interior designer André Fu, with the hotel project internationally renowned for its innovative design concepts. It boasts a unique podium-style design that allows for an abundance of natural daylight and connects outdoor gardens and public spaces. Additionally, the hotel interiors feature over a thousand curated pieces of valuable art, combining both fashion and luxury.

Over 60% of the hotel’s guest rooms offer views of Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong coastline. Room types range from 42-square-metre deluxe harbour view rooms to 294-square-metre presidential suites. The room designs follow a concept of stylish comfort, offering guests custom open wardrobes, complimentary minibars upon check-in, Nespresso coffee machines, in-room IPTV with free on-demand entertainment, and custom-designed lighting with a subtle Asian style.

In addition, The Kerry Hotel Hong Kong houses five restaurants and bars, all connected to garden terraces. The bar Red Sugar features a 270-degree sea view terrace overlooking the Hong Kong coastline and Victoria Harbour, set to become the newest landmark in the city centre. The hotel also includes the 24-hour Base Camp fitness facility, which offers a wide range of exercise equipment, a 25-metre outdoor infinity heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, and spa facilities. It is expected to officially open on 28 April.
