An absolutely moving and unforgettable sacred site for watching sea sunrises and stargazing

Located in the offshore waters of Taitung, Green Island is known as a world-class snorkeling destination, attracting many domestic and international tourists and divers who come here to pay homage. In addition to diving, this small island also hides numerous stunning natural wonders. On the mid-eastern side of Green Island lies the Sea Cucumber Flat Bay, where the so-called "Little Great Wall" walking trail and ocean-view pavilion offer unobstructed views of the surrounding magnificent scenery, making it a sacred site for watching sunrises, sunsets, and the Milky Way starry sky.

Sea Cucumber Flat refers to the bay embraced by the Little Great Wall and the Sleeping Beauty Rock. This area features well-developed columnar basalt joints, showcasing unique volcanic geology. Walking along the Little Great Wall trail offers expansive views, and looking south, you can see a long rock formation resembling a sleeping beauty, as well as a solitary rock that looks like a pug dog—both are among the most famous sights on Green Island.
