Tropical Depression 1008 hPa, located at 12°N, 149°E, is over the sea surface southeast of Guam, moving westward at 20 km/h. It is predicted that this tropical depression may become a typhoon. Weather expert Peng Chi-ming also forecasted on Facebook that this typhoon will have the greatest impact on Taiwan on September 14 and 15, possibly with considerable strength.

This weekend’s weather will be rainy across Taiwan, with temperatures ranging around 26–30°C. Be sure to carry rain gear when going out. Days will mostly be sunny to cloudy, but rain is more likely in the afternoon. The areas north of central Taiwan, northeastern Taiwan, eastern Taiwan, and other mountainous regions should be especially cautious of heavy rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon.
