Not only Japan: South Korea’s autumn foliage front forecast

Every autumn, viewing the fall foliage becomes one of the hottest travel topics. Aside from Japan, South Korea also boasts stunning autumn leaves, with many renowned scenic spots. Strolling along tree-lined paths as the leaves fall, coupled with the allure of Korean dramas, creates a romantic atmosphere that is no less captivating than Japan's. Below is the South Korean autumn foliage front prediction timetable. Due to potentially higher temperatures from September to October this year, the foliage season is expected to be about 1 to 3 days later than usual.

This year’s foliage season will be similar to last year’s, with Seoraksan Mountain starting earliest. It is expected to begin turning red on September 27, reaching peak color in mid-October. Naejangsan Mountain will start changing color on October 20, peaking around November 8. On Jeju Island, Hallasan Mountain will turn red on October 17, with its peak period around the end of October.
