Shop till you drop at Korea’s largest 8-floor Daiso department store

Recently, besides the popular new attraction Seoullo 7017 in Seoul, an 8-floor supersized Daiso store has also newly opened right next to Exit 1 of Myeongdong Station. The massive 8-floor Daiso Myeongdong flagship store, the largest variety goods department store in Korea, has sparked heated discussions since its opening and become a must-visit shopping destination in Seoul.

Korea’s Daiso stores do not import as many Japanese goods as those in Taiwan—many products are sourced from Korean production lines—making it a shopping paradise for locals.

The newly opened Daiso Myeongdong Flagship Store features beauty and cosmetics on the 1st floor, food and clothing on the 2nd, stationery, toys, and packaging supplies on the 3rd, home improvement, daily life, and gardening items on the 4th, pet supplies, health products, and tools on the 5th, bathroom and cleaning products along with laundry essentials on the 6th, food storage containers and organization items on the 7th, and finally kitchenware and pottery on the 8th floor.
