Keelung isn’t just about seaside views — there’s a new romantic lake dating spot

Aside from its well-known fishing harbor, sea views, and Miaokou Night Market, Keelung actually hides a beautiful lakeside nestled among its mountains. Located on Dashan Mountain, Lover’s Lake Park has recently become a popular new secret dating spot. Known as Keelung’s back garden, it's a Y-shaped highland lake formed by the convergence of six mountain streams. Here, you can not only enjoy the stunning lakeside scenery, but also cross the narrow Lover’s Suspension Bridge, and snap photos at the European-style castle viewing platform and windmill.

The park features facilities such as an observation pavilion, Lover’s Suspension Bridge, scenic lakeside platform, windmill, and both mountain and lakeside hiking trails. The paths are lined with lush trees, and the various plants showcase the beauty of all four seasons. While enjoying a forest bath rich in phytoncides, visitors can also admire the lake and mountain views along the way — truly poetic and idyllic.

Lover’s Lake is the only highland lake in Keelung. Though not very expansive, its scenery is delicate and lovely. Coupled with the dense surrounding woods and emerald-green waters, it’s a very pleasant spot, perfect for visitors to go for a spring outing and experience a different side of Keelung’s beauty.
