Welcome to the kingdom of cacti！Boasting the widest variety of cactus species in Taiwan, Fuxiang Cactus Garden is home to tens of thousands of cacti and succulents in all shapes and sizes—some towering, some bizarrely shaped—that are sure to amaze. This botanical garden, located in Beiping Village, Xinpian Township, features 26 greenhouses spanning over 5 hectares, along with a variety of flowers and plants to fuel your imagination about the world of succulents.

Step into Fuxiang Cactus Garden, and you’ll be greeted by a dazzling array of succulents—some as tall as a two-story building, making people standing next to them look tiny, while others are delicate and compact, coming in all sorts of quirky shapes, from round and flat to plump and skinny, offering a visual feast！Prices range from NT$40 per pot to several hundred, a thousand, or even tens of thousands of dollars. There’s even the once-priced-at-over-a-million-Taiwan-dollar “Variegated Elephant’s Foot,” plus other creatively named varieties like Bear’s Paw, Ice Mage, Dark Force, Kitten’s Melon, Little Yuan Dog Brocade, Round Flower Sprite, Latte Rose, and Red Tip Beauty. And then there’s the “Ghost Face Devil,” a Madagascar-native plant that looks like a dead branch, among many others from the Crassulaceae, Asphodelaceae, and Cactaceae families.

To make the succulent garden a more enjoyable and accessible farm experience—even enjoyable on rainy days or during typhoons—Fuxiang Cactus Garden’s owners, father and son Yan Yongxiang and Yan Guowei, spent nearly half a century building 26 greenhouses equipped with state-of-the-art “weather monitoring systems” to control sunlight, wind, and rain. They provide meticulous care for these succulents and offer an enriching, diverse space for anyone looking to learn about cacti.
