1. Haochu Breakfast
Haochu Breakfast, which started near Jiangzicui MRT Station, is an extremely popular breakfast spot in Banqiao. Known not only for its affordable prices but also for its tasty meals, it often sees long queues and full houses right after opening. Its “Boyfriend Salad” is a must-order item, said to be so delicious you’ll forget all about your boyfriend. A second branch was later opened near Banqiao MRT Station.

Located in Huangshi Market on Gongkou Street in Banqiao, Gaoji’s Stir-Fried Squid is a classic delicacy beloved by locals. Each bowl overflows with generous portions of Q-textured, chunky squid. Additionally, their freshly fried radish cake and sticky rice sausage are must-try snacks. This is a time-honored shop that has been around for over 30 years.

3. Te Xiang Zhai Western Restaurant

Te Xiang Zhai is the first steakhouse and Western restaurant in New Taipei City. Like the Bordeaux Western Restaurant in Taipei’s Dadaocheng, it is a legendary, long-established eatery that holds nostalgic value for many Banqiao residents. Their classic steak uses top-quality meat, grilled using the most advanced high-temperature rotary roasting method, locking in the natural juices of the beef—an indescribable delight.
