Michelin Guide Comes to Taipei: These Restaurants May Be Included

Known as the "bible" of the culinary world, the Michelin "Red Guide" is finally coming to Taiwan. The official Michelin organization held a press conference in Taipei to announce details about the publication of the 《2018 MICHELIN Guide Taipei》, marking the return of Michelin stardom to Taiwan following the 2011 edition of the Green Guide.

Which Taipei restaurants might be featured—or even awarded stars—has drawn intense public interest. Among the top contenders are Din Tai Fung, often seen as a representative of Taiwanese cuisine, and Din Tai Fung’s rival in Taiwanese fare, Shin Yeh. Other highly anticipated names include the French fine dining restaurant L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, RAW, and La Querce.
