Miaoli isn’t just known for its tung blossoms in May—every year in November and December, you can also admire the colorful fields of chrysanthemums in Tongluo Township. The entire hillside is covered with a pastel-hued blanket of snow-white flowers, creating an especially romantic scene. Due to this year’s hot and dry weather, the chrysanthemum blooming season is about a week later than usual, with peak bloom expected in mid-November.
