A Crystal Christmas Tree Descends in Taiwan: The World’s First Frozen Festival

The world’s first and only “Frozen Festival,” authorized and guided by The Walt Disney Company Taiwan, is co-hosted by Beast Kingdom and Taipei 101. Planned over two years and instructed remotely by the Frozen animation team from The Walt Disney Headquarters in the U.S., it will take place from November 30 to January 14 next year at the Water Dance Plaza of Taipei 101. The event features six major highlights and ten heartwarming experiences.

The 800-ping exhibition area includes six major highlights, mainly designed around scenes from the movie. These include a 5-meter-tall giant snow monster, a 12-meter-tall Christmas tree, various DIY craft activities, an Ice and Snow Service Center selling limited-edition postcard sets, a Town Market offering a variety of Frozen-themed merchandise, and a 90-ping outdoor ice rink directly imported from the UK — said to be the largest outdoor ice rink in Taiwan.

Additionally, the ten heartwarming experiences include the Olaf Plush DIY Shop, the Frozen Custom Shop, the Frozen Magic Photo Studio, Frozen Karaoke, Frozen Christmas Wreaths, the Frozen Fragrance Shop, Frozen Cute Handbags, Snowball Games, and Frozen Starry Sky Candles.
