Asia’s Largest 3D Light Show Rivals New Taipei City Christmasland—Free to Watch in Southern Taiwan

In recent years, light shows have become a global trend. Aside from New Taipei City Christmasland created by the Guinness World Records team, you can now also enjoy world-class 3D light shows at the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) in Kaohsiung. The largest theater building 3D light show in Asia debuts at Weiwuying—you can admire world-class 3D light shows for free without leaving the country, and experience the visual and auditory spectacle on the vast central lawn.

The National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts, which took 10 years to build, is Asia’s largest performing arts center. This event marks the first cross-disciplinary collaboration between performing arts and architectural light projection, taking place from November 22 to 26 at 19:00, 20:00, and 21:00 each evening. The event combines music, dance, and drama with Asia’s largest multimedia light projection, taking audiences into an artistic hidden realm within the banyan tree grove of Weiwuying.

The special invited creative team behind the 2010 Shanghai Expo theme show 【Window of the City】—Spectacle Art, has produced an exclusive exterior video light show for Weiwuying titled 《The First Seeds: Memories Under the Banyan Tree》. It not only showcases the architectural concept of the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying), but also narrates the historical background of the site’s transformation from a military base to today’s arts center, making it a new oasis for Asian art and culture.
