Starbucks Opens First Drive-Thru with Hand-Painted Murals in Northern Taiwan, Creating a New Local Landmark

Daily coffee from Starbucks is a routine for many professionals, yet waiting in line is often seen as a major time drain. Recognizing the morning hustle, Starbucks has launched its first "Drive-Thru" store in the Taipei and New Taipei areas. The convenience of drive-through service lets you grab your coffee without even leaving your car.

With 421 stores across Taiwan, 16 of which are Drive-Thru locations, Starbucks' convenient drive-through service has received positive feedback in recent years. However, it took time to find the right spot in the Taipei-New Taipei area. The new "Siyuan Branch in Xinzhuang" is not only the first Drive-Thru store in the region but also features a rare two-story standalone design in greater Taipei. Covering a total area of 376 ping (approximately 1,242 square meters), the branch offers up to 128 spacious and comfortable seats.

The Xinzhuang Siyuan branch boasts bright interiors and ample seating, complemented by thoughtfully designed wall murals that invite customers to relax, enjoy premium coffee, and savor quality coffee moments. With the addition of a Drive-Thru, convenience is further enhanced—especially for travelers heading straight onto the highway.

Additionally, customers who spend NT$300 or more at the Xinzhuang Siyuan branch can receive a drive-thru-themed keychain, while those spending NT$1,800 or more will get a car-shaped coin purse. The promotion runs until November 30—don’t miss out if you’re a Starbucks collector.
