Taiwanese retailers have quickly seized the business opportunity, with supermarket chains such as PX Mart and RT-Mart stocking the product. PX Mart launched it around November 8th, importing 7,000 bottles, mostly for northern stores, with a second wave of 5,000 bottles arriving on November 27th. Consumers who want to try it no longer need to fly to Japan to get it.

In addition, RT-Mart has also jumped on the trend, stocking 4,800 bottles of transparent milk tea in December. In terms of pricing, PX Mart sells it for NT$65, while RT-Mart offers it for NT$70 (though with additional promotional deals). The original price in Japan is about NT$33. Curious consumers wondering about the taste have shared mixed reactions online: “It just tastes like regular milk tea!” or “It feels a bit chemical.” Those wanting to try it can now easily purchase it in Taiwan.
