Huge eyes gaze at the city—this is the world-class most beautiful glass library.

The world-renowned Dutch architectural firm MVRDV has created iconic buildings around the globe, including Taiwan’s Chung Tai Art Foundation’s “The Vertical Village” exhibition. Their latest work is the glass library in Tianjin Binhai Cultural Center. The massive, square glass facade features an eye-socket-like design, while inside there is a large oval spherical building surrounded by layered circular bookshelves, resembling a giant eye gazing at the city.

At the center of the library is a white spherical hall with a diameter of over 20 meters. The sphere's surface is made of perforated aluminum panels backed with LED lights, which become even more dazzling at night, resembling a bright eye watching over Binhai. The library covers a total area of 33,700 square meters, with five floors above ground and one below, housing 1.35 million books and offering 1,500 reading seats.
