A Special Exhibition Celebrating the 15th Anniversary of Makoto Shinkai’s *Your Name*: Six Animated Masterpieces in One Show

Makoto Shinkai, the animation director behind the box office sensation *Your Name.* in Taiwan, is bringing his 15-year career journey to Taiwan. The overseas premiere of *Makoto Shinkai Exhibition: From *Voices of a Distant Star* to *Your Name.* will showcase six works, from his commercial debut *Voices of a Distant Star*—which he directed, wrote, directed the performance for, animated, did the art for, and edited himself—to the recent global box office hit *Your Name.*, all of which will be displayed at the exhibition. Fans have been eagerly anticipating the news.

The exhibition will feature around 100 displays that take visitors behind the scenes of animation production, offering an in-depth look into Makoto Shinkai’s creative world. In addition to valuable production drafts and storyboards, there will also be an exclusive 3D exhibition space for Taiwan that allows fans to fully immerse themselves in the movie world settings—guaranteed to make fans feel like they’ve stepped right into the films.

This exhibition brings together six animated feature films directed by Makoto Shinkai, including *Voices of a Distant Star*, *The Place Promised in Our Early Days*, *5 Centimeters Per Second*, *Children Who Chase Lost Voices*, *The Garden of Words*, and the widely loved *Your Name.*, showcasing behind-the-scenes production materials that reveal the birth stories of its popular characters and dreamlike settings. In addition, the exhibition will sell a series of officially supervised merchandise, allowing fans to not only experience immersive simulated scenes and view behind-the-scenes animation drafts and photos, but also take home beloved anime-related products.
